Weekly Spelling Test Word List

 Monday, Jan. 5, 2009

Math--  Fact Homework 68 and Homework 68B.

Spelling-- NONE, new words go home on Wednesday.

Please fill out the Home Reading Log starting tonight.

Grammar - Please have your child write these 2 sentences correctly using capital letters and punctuation marks.  Their name and today's date should be on the first line.  They should do these on their own.

did the kitten have a big tail

Handwriting -- If Assigned.  Trace your name one time. Trace the letter or number, write the letter or number 2 times on the same line.  Please make sure you put a 2 finger space between the letters.

Current Event -- Current Events are due on Friday.

AR -- Please read the book to your child and ask them questions about the story. 

Home Reading Log-- After you read to your child, have them draw a picture of something you read about tonight night.  Please draw the picture about your AR book.

The Home Reading Log will be on the Website for you to download and use every week.  It will be your responsibility to get the copy for your child to use for their weekly Home Reading Log.  I will continue to check on it's completion nightly.

Fluency and Star Words -- Please practice Fluency and Star Words with your child this evening.

Home Reading Log--  Please use the AR book to draw a picture of something you read about in the book. 

The Home Reading Log will be on the Website for you to download and use every week.  It will be your responsibility to get the copy for your child to use for their weekly Home Reading Log.  I will continue to checkon it's completion nightly.

Fluency and Star Words -- The Fluency sheet and Star Words envelope are in your child's folder.  Please practice with them and initial on the Reading Sign-Off Sheet.  This Reading Sign-Off Sheet must be returned to school every day. 

AR -- Please read the comprehension book assigned to your child.

PE -- Students may bring filled water bottles to use at PE.   Make sure their name is on their water bottle.

Handwriting - If assigned, handwriting homework will be the handwriting paper cut in half.  If your child is assigned this homework it will be in their folder.  If there is none in their folder they were not given the homework for that night.  Trace your name one time.
